HISTORY
Our preschool is situated in Jaszbereny, which is a very small town, only with 28.000 residents in Jasz-Nagykun-Szolnok County in Hungary. Since 1974 it was the preschool of the town’s biggest factory, called Refrigerate Factory. Now days it has a new name because a big international Sweden company has bought it. The new name is Electrolux.
For 25 years this factory had 4 preschools, but because of the political changes they got sold.
Our school was founded by 3 teachers in 1993, including Mrs. Katalin Csernatoni,  the actual headteacher.
During the first 3 years the preschool received a lot of financial support from Electrolux, so it could open an alternative and inclusive preschool for all kind of children.

SCHOOL DESCRIPTION
The mission of the school regarding all the children is to recognize their rights, to help them in their personal development and to provide those conditions that facilitate them in solving tasks that most appropriate for them considering their abilities.

We fulfill 3 tasks that are defined by the state:
- preschool education for children between the age of 2 and 6 years,
- early childhood education for 0-5 years old children, who show signs of different developmental rhythm, the children arrive once a week with their caretaker to these programs,
- primary school group for children with multiple disabilities between ages of 
8 – 23

Some import data about our children:
- four integrated preschool classes (84 typically developing children and 12 children with special needs)
- one segregated class (12 children with special needs)
- in the primary school we have only one class with 6 pupils with multiple disabilities
- 9 pupils participate in early developmental classes

About our colleagues:
- 8 preschool teachers
- 8 special education teachers (conductor, speech therapist, psychologist a.o.)
- 2 special education assistants
- other aids (in the kitchen, in the garden, in the classrooms and the office)

We are very proud of our own colleagues who follow the children’s individual needs and continuously study pursuing lifelong learning. For example last year 4 teachers and assistants studied about children living with autism.

Activites for children:
- Cognitive development: Basal stimulation, individual mental development
- Motor development: Somatic pedagogy, conductive education, physiotherapy, hydrotherapy, horse back riding, massage
- Speech and language therapy
- Play, work, self-help skills

European Co-operation:

ACTIVITIES IN COMENIUS SENSES MULTILATERAL PARTNERSHIP 2007-2009
We would like to give our experiences in early childhood special education and inclusive teaching of children with several complex needs to the schools of the partnership.
To help our staff and the management to learn more about social education, emotional education, health and healthy environment.
We hope that our children will have a wider view of Europe and our teachers can exchange methodology and ideas.
Inclusive education does not have traditions in Hungary. Our institution shows a new way of children’s education. We think, that an international cooperation will help us develop our teacher’s communication, methods and pedagogical tools. We hope that we will be able to introduce new therapies, new children’s activities and we can develop the cooperation between our teachers and parents, and management.
Our aim is to find new opportunities for individual teaching, so our children can be successful in their life.  During our abroad trips we would like to experience the differences and similarities of the educational systems of the partner countries. Furthermore, we would like to collect some experience about the partner institutions’ own systems.
Our final goal is to revise our own educational system and develop it with our experiences in focus.
